Teledyne ISCO Webinar Series:Purification of Cannabinoids
Using Preparative HPLC
Compounds such as cannabigerol (CBG), cannabinol (CBN) and others may have antimicrobial, antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, anti-convulsant, and/or anti-cancer properties without the psychoactive effects of THC, creating an increased demand for their isolation from hemp. Known as “minor cannabinoids,” these compounds are typically found in lower concentrations than CBD. As a result, high-resolution purification methods such as Preparative HPLC are needed. In this webinar we will discuss how Teledyne ISCO’s ACCQPrep HP150 system can provide faster method development and higher resolution separations when isolating these compounds from primary hemp extracts.
• Which cannabinoids can legally be extracted from hemp cultivation in the US?
• What benefits do these compounds offer?
• How to maximize the value of your hemp extracts by commercializing the non-CBD compounds found alongside primary CBD extraction from hemp.
• Preparative HPLC as a reliable and cost-effective method for isolation of minor cannabinoids.
• How to increase throughput while reducing method development time with the automation features of the ACCQPrep HP150.
